LEGISLATION

HCHP Model Bill

Highlights of the Model Bill

HCHP plans to reintroduce a state single payer bill in the next legislative session.

Read about the Conyers Bill!

HR 676 The Conyers bill for single payer national insurance

John Conyers, Jr. (born May 16, 1929) is a U.S. Congressman from Michigan, representing that state's 14th District (map), which includes all of Highland Park and Hamtramck, as well as parts of Detroit and Dearborn. He has served since 1965 and is the second longest serving member of the House of Representatives, outranked only by fellow Michigan member John Dingell.

Mission: Hoosiers for a Commonsense Health Plan is a group of Indiana citizens who support a publicly financed, privately delivered (single payer) universal health plan at the state and national level. HCHP is working to educate the public and the legislature about the benefits of a single payer plan. We are seeking individuals and groups who have an interest in helping achieve this goal.
